A Blazing Hot Birthday Bash

I know, I know, you were expecting to see a party all about fire trucks and flames but the real reason for this title is because we could barely make through the birthday weekend since it was a bizillion degrees at my house and we had a party to throw! My son wanted a bounce house water slide and a Mets baseball themed party. Because his birthday is right after the 4th of July, I totally dropped the ball on ordering his cake from our favorite bakery this year. So, on the hottest day ever, I decided I would make the cake myself...and about 10 hours later I pulled off this Mets cake! The best part is, it tasted good too!

The kids were able to keep cool on the slide but the adults pretty much had to drink iced tea and rosé to stay cool. Luckily, I decided to wear this super cute romper that we are selling from our shop. Seriously, this is going to be my end of summer uniform. And once fall comes along I'll probably just throw on a denim jacket and booties and keep on wearing it!
